About the initiative
For generations, the collegiate gospel choir has been one of the most enduring institutions on the American campus — a rehearsal room that doubles as a sanctuary, a place where students find their voice, their people, and their purpose. Yet these choirs have too often carried the tradition alone.
The Collegiate Collective changes that. Launched by the Gospel Industry Coalition, it is both a combined collegiate gospel choir and a national initiative built to strengthen, nurture, and unify college gospel choirs from across the country. It brings students from campuses nationwide into one rehearsal, one sound, and one shared mission — while creating an ongoing network for the choirs, directors, and student leaders who sustain this ministry year after year.
Build the musical and organizational capacity of campus choirs, so the work outlasts any one class.
Support the students and directors who lead through mentorship, training, and industry access.
Gather a generation of collegiate singers around a shared identity that reaches beyond one campus.
One night. One choir.
Every campus.
